PM Qarase Receives Letter From Fidel Castro

Fiji’s Prime Minister Lasienia Qarase received a letter from the Cuban Head of State Fidel Castro this morning.

The Head of the Cuban delegation to the 3rd ACP Leaders Summit, Minister of Government of Cuba, Mr. Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz personally delivered the letter, during a courtesy call on the Prime Minister this morning.

In the letter, Mr. Castro related his congratulatory message to the Prime Minister for hosting the Summit and wished him every success.

The meeting between Mr. Ruiz and Mr. Qarase saw discussion on issues such as health care, study opportunities, sports and agriculture, particularly in the area of ecological organic production.

Mr. Qarase thanked Mr. Ruiz and wished the Cuban delegation well during the ACP Summit.
