Nadi Declaration

The Tui Nadi, Ratu Napolioni Dawai and the vanua of Nadi have given their support for the proposed Nadi Declaration which will be the culmination of the ACP leaders summit at the Sheraton Resort in Nadi this week.

A ministerial delegation headed by the Minister for Education, Ro Temumu Kepa, yesterday called on the Tui Nadi for his traditional support of the ACP summit and Nadi Declaration.

Minister for National Reconciliation, Information and Media Relations, Josefa Vosanibola, said Ratu Napolioni told the ministerial delegation he supported government hosting the ACP summit and denounced planned protests of the summit in Nadi.

Mr Vosanibola said the fact that government was able to host the summit soon after the political events of 2000 was a good indicator of the positive outcome of conciliatory efforts by the people of Fiji.
