No: 706 - EUROPEAN COMMISSION DELEGATION CONFIRMED FOR ACP MEET

The European Commissioner for Trade, Mr. Pascal Lamy is heading the European Commission’s delegation for the African Carribean and the Pacific (ACP) Summit to be held in Nadi this month.

This was confirmed by the Chargee d’ affaires, a.i., Maria J Ralha in Suva today (1/07/02).

Other members of the European Commission include Antoine Gosset who is a member of Mr. Lamy’s Cabinet.

The spokesman for Mr. Lamy, Anthony Gooch and the Director of Trade, Mr. Karl Falkenberg will also be amongst the eight member team.

Trade official Mr. Lamy Martin Dihm will be part of the delegation also.

The Head of the delegation of the European Commission for the Pacific, Mr Frans Baan and an official from his office, Mr. Anthony Crasner will be joining the team arriving in on Wednesday, 17th July.

The ACP summit is to be held in Nadi from the 16th to the 19th July.
