No:230 - SHERATON TO BE ACP SUMMIT VENUE
Sheraton Denarau will be the venue of the 3rd ACP Heads of State and Government Summit in July.
This was confirmed today at the 4th National Organising Committee Meeting for the 3rd ACP Summit.
Sheraton will also provide a media centre and a medical centre for the duration of the Summit.
Preparations for the Summit are well underway with the nine member Cabinet sub-committee for ACP preparations already holding its first meeting last week.
In the absence of chairman of the sub-committee, Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Kaliopate Tavola, the meeting was chaired by the Minister for Commerce, Business Development and Investment, Mr Tomasi Vuetilovoni.
Other members of the sub-committee include, Minister for Works, Savenaca Draunidalo, Minister for Finance, Rtau Jone Kubuabola, Minister for Tourism, Konisi Yabaki, Minister for Health, Pita Nacuva, Minister of Education, Ro Teimumu Kepa, Minister for Lands, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, and Minister for Youth & Sports, Isireli Leweniqila.
The Summit will be held from the 8th to the 12th of July.
