No: 123 - ACP SECRETARY GENERAL TO VISIT FIJI
Secretary General of the African Caribbean Pacific group (ACP), His Excellency Jean-Robert Goulongana, arrives into the country on Sunday (10/02) for a four-day visit.
Mr. Goulongana will be accompanied by Assistant Secretary General Political Affairs and Human Development, Dr Pao Luteru, and Chief of Cabinet, Mr Francois Jackman.
While here, he will be meeting with senior government officials to discuss details of the ACP Heads of States Summit expected to be held in Fiji in September.
Mr. Goulonganas official programme begins with an early meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kaliopate Tavola on Monday (11/02), followed by His Excellency the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo at 10am.
He will also have a meeting with Mr. Noel Levi, Secretary General of the Forum Secretariat and the Permanent Secretary for Finance, Sila Kotobalavu later in the afternoon.
On Tuesday (12/02), Mr. Goulongana will meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and the Charge de Affaires of the Delegation of the European Commission, Ms Maria Ralha.
In the afternoon, he will visit European Union funded projects.
Prior to his departure on Wednesday, Mr. Goulongana will meet with the Prime Minister.
